Job Title : Alumni and Volunteer Relations Coordinator

Department: Philanthropy

Classification: Non-Exempt

Supervisory responsibilities: No

Reports to: Chief Philanthropy Officer

Position Summary:

 The Alumni and Volunteer Relations Coordinator is responsible for building and strengthening St. Philip’s Alumni relations and growing a sustainable corps of volunteers. The results of the work by the Alumni and Volunteer Relations Coordinator are deeper engagement and greater likelihood of successful gift solicitations.

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop initiatives to recruit, recognize, and retain volunteers throughout SPSCC.
  • Execute volunteer recruitment, retention, and recognition strategies.
  • Create and maintain volunteer tracking records and statistics using appropriate database.
  • Work collaboratively with SPSCC departments to finalize volunteer needs, roles and responsibilities.
  • Create and implement year-round communication plans targeted toward alumni and volunteers in coordination with Marketing & Communications and Philanthropy teams.
  • Work with Philanthropy team to coordinate alumni and volunteer campaigns goals and setting and updating the calendar of opportunities for the year.

  Minimum Education and Experience:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a nonprofit managing alumni, volunteers, and/or donor management experience
  • Microsoft Office competency required.
