Position Summary

The Annual Campaign Coordinator will collaborate with AVLF’s Development and Communications team to assist in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive data-driven Annual Campaign plan. The role focuses on helping to achieve ambitious fundraising goals, improve donor retention rates, upgrade existing donors, and assist in the acquisition of new donors. The coordinator will ensure the accuracy and completeness of donor data, assist in developing campaign materials, maintain donor communications, and support fundraising events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Campaign Planning and Execution (20%): Collaborate with the Development and Communications team to create and implement a comprehensive Annual Campaign plan. Utilize data-driven strategies to achieve fundraising goals, improve donor retention rates, upgrade existing donors, and acquire new donors.
  • Data Management (20%): Ensure all donations, pledges, and related information are accurately and completely entered into Salesforce. Maintain Salesforce and Classy records for existing donors and ensure all fundraising data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Reporting and Data Projects (5%): Assist in data projects and the creation of reports as needed. Keep donors' contact records and related records in Salesforce up-to-date.
  • Campaign Materials Development (10%): Assist the Communications team in developing appeals, publications, videos, and other media related to the Annual Campaign. Collaborate to create a coordinated calendar for mailings, solicitations, and other campaign milestones.
  • Donor Acknowledgement and Support (20%): Ensure donors receive timely acknowledgment and thank you letters, both electronic and otherwise. Provide donor support as needed and follow the donor communications timeline.
  • Executive and Development Support (10%): Support the Executive Director, Development Director, and the Development team with Annual Campaign strategies and solicitations.
  • Event Coordination (10%): Create and update guest lists for fundraising events. Maintain contact with the Event Coordinator and assist as needed.
  • Fundraising Pages Management (5%): Create and maintain fundraising pages and Classy campaigns in collaboration with the Communications team.

Daily Tasks:

  • Process and acknowledge donor checks through Classy.
  • Input donation details into Salesforce and update records accordingly.
  • Send tax acknowledgment receipts to donors after processing their checks.
  • Ensure all donations are entered into Salesforce accurately and promptly.
  • Provide support by addressing emails from donors, Board members, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage Classy Campaign pages, including donation processing and refund transactions.
  • Update Salesforce with corrected mailing addresses for returned mail and resend original mailings.
  • Assist with data and reporting projects as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date contact and organization records in Salesforce.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, and data management. Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Experience with Classy or similar online fundraising platforms is preferred. Work Environment: This position typically operates in a professional office environment. The role may require occasional evening and weekend work.

Salary: The Annual Campaign Coordinator position offers a competitive salary in the range of $50,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
