Job Description



AECOM  is seeking an Architecture Intern to be based in Chicago, IL.

 

This position is expected to begin in January 2025.

 

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work directly with AECOM architects, interior designers, and engineers to assist in the development of design solutions at all detail levels.
  • Work with Project Architects to develop and organize project design presentations and packages.
  • Work under the support of licensed professionals to develop complete sets of construction drawings for new building, renovation, and tenant improvement projects.
  • Assist project architects during the construction and administrative phases.
  • Assist in developing design solutions to a wide range of technical architectural challenges. 

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in architecture or design and must have completed at least one year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

:

  • Experience in working in REVIT, AutoCAD, and Rhino.
  • Preferred a minimum of three years of study
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Demonstrates creativity, passion, and interest in architecture, planning, and design.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task work on multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Sketchup graphic software preferred.
