Job Summary

• Compiles and reviews source documents for completeness and accuracy
• Data Entry
• Reconciling bank statements, A/P and A/R accounts
• Prepare and support journal entry transactions
• Preparing financial reports
• Month and year end duties for clients
• Processing sales tax, CAT tax and other local, state and federal taxes
• Assist with the preparation of personal and business tax filings during tax season
• Additional projects as needed

Requirements

• Strong Analytical Skills and Dealing with Complexity
• Accounting, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Accuracy, Efficiency
• QuickBooks Online/Desktop Experience and Microsoft Office
• Able to follow directions
• Must be Self-Motivated, Critical Thinker, Takes Initiative, a Team Player who can Successfully Handle/Prioritizes Multiple Competing Priorities and Effectively Manage Deadlines with minimum supervision
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Public CPA Firm experience desirable
• Understanding of personal, business income taxes (1040, 1120s, 1065) and state income states
• Must be able to pass a background check

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
• licensure and certification requirements;
• office location and other geographic considerations;
• other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
