Seeking a Project Director to implement and facilitate a recently awarded grant from the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). The Carthage Safe Culture Project (CSCP) aims to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all students that reduces Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking(DVDVSAS) incidents on campus and provides culturally sensitive, trauma-informed support for all victims of DVDVSAS.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations and coordinate all grant activities related to administering the OVW Campus Program grant
Assist in the creation of and facilitate the work of the CCRT in a collaborative manner with other key stakeholders to ensure the development and implementation of statutory and programmatic grant requirements and activities
Create a Carthage Safe Culture Project strategic plan
Serve as a point of contact to maintain communication between the campus and the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women
Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and according to the statutory and program requirements of the grant program
Create DVDVSAS awareness and prevention training, including bystander intervention training
Create resource materials for students, faculty, and staff including materials developed to specifically address the needs of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC students after collecting information from those with marginalized identities
Implement ongoing social norming campaigns to reduce stigma related to DVDVSAS
Collect and organize relevant institutional data to submit in bi-annual performance reports
Participate in required virtual and in-person training and technical assistance as required by the grant program, including New Grantee Orientation, Training and Technical Institutes, webinars, and calls with OVW Campus Technical Assistance Providers and OVW
Fulfill a variety of assigned administrative responsibilities to accomplish project goals, including grant updates and budget tracking, as well as other administrative and operational duties as assigned.
Adhere to all relevant federal and state laws and confidentiality guidelines
Monitor and abide by all special conditions of the award
Participate as a visible member of and positive contribution to the Carthage community, as well as a model of lifelong learning and development for Carthage students.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social sciences, social work or related field, with a master’s degree (preferred).
Minimum of five years’ experience working in sexual assault prevention programs, victim advocacy, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and assess crisis situations
Comprehension of prevention efforts and the dynamics of DVDVSAS in a campus environment
Experience and demonstrated effective skills in project and budget management
Experience in successful grant reporting
Knowledge of Wisconsin and federal laws in regards to the Violence Against Women Act, the Clery Act, and Title IX and the distinctions between each
Commitment to diversity and inclusion
Requires excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability and willingness to work irregular hours, including, as needed, nights and weekends
Ability to travel in order to attend mandated OVW trainings
Requires the ability to use standard office equipment and technology, including a telephone, keyboard, and personal computer and tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and various Google applications.
Experience working with underrepresented/underserved populations is preferred.
Experience with Workday, EAB Navigate, and Microsoft Excel are highly valued.
