Cannery Hall is the largest independent and one of the few independent music venues in Nashville. Many of today's biggest stars, songwriters and working musicians, would not have gotten their big break if it wasn't for independent music venues like ours. The Digital Marketing Coordinator functions under the supervision of and in coordination with the General Manager. This position is required to help promote and drive revenue through all Cannery Hall programming and event business.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Directly responsible for driving ticket sales for all Cannery Hall entertainment programming and assists the team in growing and supporting the corporate and private event business.
  2. Manages Cannery Hall social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, X, Tiktok, etc.) with creative and effective ongoing content creation.
  3. Creates and implements small advertising budgets with creative out-of-the-box promotions to promote ticket sales and continually work with our staff, and the community beyond, to keep them fresh, positive, and creative to drive awareness and revenue.
  4. Optimizes paid advertising campaigns using SEO and other tools.
  5. Interacts with other facility staff to facilitate planning and scheduling of events and to ensure efficient management of daily activities to assure the delivery of service and to promote in-house events; monitors event requirements and how they interface with other facility events and activities.
  6. Works closely with the Cannery Hall Talent Buyer to promote programming for optimal awareness and revenue growth. Responsible for developing Run of Show outlines for team.
  7. Works in coordination with the General Manager to consistently brand the overall Cannery Hall brand as friendly, hospitable representative of the community.
  8. Continually evaluates the performance of marketing campaigns and strategies through key performance metrics and reporting of social media and Google analytics to determine return on investment. Report on the growth and analytics of campaigns to key stakeholders.
  9. Ensures compliance with departmental policies and procedures, especially pertaining to areas of financial and legal exposure for the Cannery music venue.
  10. Regularly monitors expenses and monthly monitoring through thorough review of financials received from the Accounting Office. Notifies supervisor immediately of any impending non-trivial variances (revenues or expenses) as soon as they become evident.
  11. Creates and maintains a robust internship program and grass roots street team with local colleges and universities to benefit from an in-house marketing program, a focus group for programming, and even new talent acquisition.
  12. Maintains knowledge of deal structures and supports their fulfillment at the time of settlement. Works diligently to provide information that is timely, accurate, and complete for all settlements.
  13. Strives for excellence in maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records of all events, expenses, revenues, and payments to external vendors and industry organizations.
  14. Serves as a liaison between venue, clients, and outside vendors to maintain the Cannery’s growing reputation of having the most customer-friendly event staff . Communicates and coordinates production requirements accordingly.
  15. Performs specific tasks as assigned by General Manager.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications
  • 2-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills and Knowledge Required

  2. Excellent written and verbal communication
  3. Passion for live music and an understanding of industry trends
  4. Ability to foster a collaborative and dynamic work environment
  5. Prior experience with digital marketing forms such as SEO, search advertising, paid social, and content marketing
  6. Proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite
  7. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
