Job Description:

The Director of Information Technology (IT) will play a crucial role in overseeing the technology infrastructure, systems, and software utilized within the hospital environment. This individual will lead a team of technology professionals to ensure that all technology systems are running efficiently and securely, and that staff are trained in their use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the hospital's technology infrastructure, systems, and software.
• Lead and manage a team of technology professionals to ensure efficient and secure operation of all technology systems.
• Provide expertise in the CPSI electronic medical record system, HL7 standards, promoting interoperability reporting, PACS standards, RIS, LIS, networking, and server virtualization.
• Ensure staff are trained in the effective utilization of technology systems.
• Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to the healthcare IT landscape.
• Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare industry regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in IT leadership, with a demonstrated track record of successful technology implementation and management.
• Experience with the CPSI electronic medical record system.
• Familiarity with HL7 standards and Promoting Interoperability Reporting.
• Knowledge of State and Government regulations and reporting.
• A solid understanding of healthcare industry regulations and requirements such as HIPPA and HITECH
• Experience with the CPSI electronic medical record system, knowledge of HL7 standards, promoting interoperability reporting, PACS standards, RIS, LIS, strong networking skills, and a strong knowledge of server virtualization is preferred
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
