Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Ford Service Technicians:

  • Perform Maintenance & Repairs: Skillfully complete tasks listed on repair orders, always within our dealership's guidelines.
  • Diagnose Issues: Use state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and equipment to inspect, diagnose, and verify guest concerns for everything automotive, from air conditioning to engines.
  • Prepare Estimates: Provide accurate time estimates for additional repairs required, maintaining transparency and building trust.
  • Address Warranty Concerns: Carry out warranty repairs flawlessly, adhering to manufacturer specifications and ensuring every vehicle is in top-notch condition.
  • Communicate Findings: Be the vital link between our clients and service advisors, ensuring timely and accurate vehicle status updates.

Requirements:

Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or ASE certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.
  • Experience with using diagnostic tools, service equipment, and repair manuals.

Certifications:

  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with manufacturer-specific repair procedures and guidelines.

Physical Ability:

  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy parts and standing for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to use hand tools effectively.

Problem-Solving:

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and accurately.

  • High precision and attention to detail in all repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with service advisors and guests.
