Position Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced
Geotechnical Engineer (PE) to oversee moderate to complex geotechnical projects, delivering the technical expertise necessary to surpass client expectations.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about excellence, client satisfaction, and fostering positive change through collaborative teamwork. This position is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and visa sponsorship is available.
Compensation: The client offers a competitive salary ranging from
$100,000 to $130,000 , based on experience, education, certifications, and skills, reflecting a strong commitment to attracting top talent for this crucial role.
Key Responsibilities: - Collaborative Project Management: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to manage geotechnical projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and address any challenges.
- Business Development: Actively identify and pursue business development opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with potential clients. Contribute to proposals and presentations that showcase the firm’s capabilities.
- Engineering Report Preparation: Prepare detailed engineering reports that outline practical geotechnical solutions. Ensure that reports are clear, thorough, and tailored to client needs, incorporating relevant data and analyses.
- Project Scope and Budget Development: Develop comprehensive project scopes and budgets, ensuring that all aspects of the project are planned effectively. Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to budgets and timelines.
- Technical Analysis and Review: Perform and review complex engineering calculations, including slope stability, settlement analysis, bearing capacity assessments, and seepage evaluations. Ensure that all analyses meet industry standards and best practices.
- Geotechnical Field Investigations: Conduct field investigations to gather soil and rock samples, perform site assessments, and collect relevant geotechnical data. Ensure that investigations are conducted safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Client Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates on project status, address client inquiries, and incorporate feedback into project deliverables.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards. Review and revise engineering documents as necessary to maintain compliance with industry regulations and client specifications.
Qualifications: - PE License in Texas
- Experience with TxDOT geotechnical projects
- Familiarity with North and/or Central Texas regions
