Job Summary: The Laundry Attendant at SpringHill Suites Cheraw is a full-time, hourly position within the hospitality industry. This individual contributor role is responsible for ensuring that all laundry and linen needs are met for the hotel, including washing, drying, sorting, folding, and stocking linens and towels. The Laundry Attendant will work closely with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction and maintain the high standards of cleanliness at SpringHill Suites Cheraw. Compensation & Benefits: This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $10 to $12 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, employees may be eligible for benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and discounts on hotel stays at SpringHill Suites and other Marriott properties. Responsibilities:

• Sort and pre-treat stained linens and towels before loading them into washers
• Operate and maintain both commercial and domestic laundry equipment, following all safety and usage guidelines
• Monitor laundry supply inventory and report needs to management in a timely manner
• Fold and stack linens and towels according to brand standards
• Stock linen closets and storage rooms with clean linens and towels
• Respond promptly and assist with guest requests for additional linens or towels
• Assist with the collection and processing of soiled linens from guest rooms and common areas
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry room, ensuring all equipment and supplies are stored properly
• Follow all brand and hotel policies and procedures, including those for safety and security
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and guests at all times

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining commercial laundry equipment
• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Excellent time management and attention to detail skills
• Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts as needed
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
