Maintenance & Facility Director

We are seeking an experienced, high-energy, and dynamic Maintenance & Facility Director for Midwest Brands. The Maintenance & Facility Director would support 100+ Planet Fitness, Smoothie King, and Buff City Soap locations in 13 states. Our Maintenance & Facility Director would work with the Club and General Managers, Assistant Club and General Manager, Area/District/Regional Managers under the leadership of the COO and Construction and Facility Teams. The Maintenance & Facility Director would be responsible for supporting a customer-centric vision, delivering the highest level of customer service through the ongoing and continued care of Midwest Brands clubs and stores. The Maintenance and Facility Director leads and oversees all aspects of Maintenance and Facility for all clubs and stores in the Midwest Brands portfolio, including but not limited to, construction support, maintenance, preventative maintenance, repair, landlord resolution and partnership with owned and leased properties.

In addition to these duties, the Maintenance & Facility Director will make it their mission to be a constant source of clear vision, healthy accountability, and genuine care to their direct team, leadership team, and other key groups with the brand portfolio.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Be a subject matter expert of all thing’s construction, facilities, maintenance, and repair.
  • Create strategy for preventative maintenance of current and future facilities
  • Be organized and able to present current, future, and past maintenance items
  • Track and communicate all preventive maintenance and repairs, contracts, and other
  • Communicate and influence, and drive awareness of priorities
  • Create and lead a weekly meeting to communicate status and state of the business
  • Foster a leadership culture that is positive, genuine informative, and accountable
  • Drive to not only meet, but exceed customer service timelines and tickets
  • Create strategy and process for ticketing system for repairs and maintenance
  • Ensure delivery of an exceptional customer experience to partners in the business
  • Additional assignments as requested by appropriate leadership
  • Be in-tune with construction and operation on building and continued facilities
  • Day to Day management of landscaping, snow removal, HVAC, and other facility and maintenance items.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in Construction
  • Well versed with connections in the world of Maintenance & Facility Repair and Construction
  • Experience in Retail Stores, Gyms, QSR/Restaurant Repair and Maintenance
  • Strong decision-making abilities
  • Experience working with Landlords
  • Mechanical background a plus
  • Experience negotiating contract bid proposals
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Flexible work schedule, 40-50 hrs/wk (open, close, weekends and some holidays)
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Willing to undergo a background check
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Must not be sensitive to various fragrances, scents, foods.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers; ability to lift or assist in lifting items up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, twist and stoop, kneel or crouch.

LOCATION: Cincinnati, OH Greater Area

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 20% outside of Greater Cincinnati Area

REPORTS TO: COO / Construction and Facility Leaders

DIRECT REPORTS: Up to 10 consisting of technicians and other members / leaders in Maintenance & Facilities

PAY : Starting at salary range $75,000 to $100,000 annually (based on experience)

EDUCATION : 4-year degree from an accredited university or work experience equivalent
