Job Description

We are currently working with a manufacturing company in Sandusky County that is looking to fill the position of Mold Design Engineer. This person will analyze assigned Order Sales Sheets (OSS) and Change Notices (CN) for engineering content and impact, execute the design accordingly, and provide daily progress updates. The Mold Design Engineer ensures design and configuration work complies with production release standards and meets cost, quality, and timing requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Designs molds and performs basic design reviews of molds for blow molding.

Interact with the quality department and purchasing department, ensuring quality standards and delivery deadlines are met.

Provide daily updates to the Mold Design Engineering Working Lead.

Ensure customer requirements are clearly understood, drive closure on open requirements, and verify requirements are satisfied.

Identify risks, document, prioritize, mitigate, and communicate.

Establish timing plans to execute assigned orders and projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

Solid performance with CREO, Windchill, and E1.

Relevant experience with mechanical analysis and tolerance/fit analysis and the ability to identify technical risks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Experience working in multiple design phases (Development, Production, Sustaining).

Proficient in Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline or +3 years of equivalent design work experience.

The position is on-site.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., without current or future requirements for sponsorship of an employment-based visa status.

The wage range is $65-71K DOE.
