Job Description

• Hours : Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri – hours: 1pm – 5pm; Tuesday - all day route required – 8 hours, 8am – 5pm. Estimated hours per week: 24 - 30 hours.

• Description : The Courier picks up and delivers samples between 3 Eurofins lab locations around the Houston/Pasadena/Stafford area. Courier will be responsible for sample(s) pick-up from client locations (at this time one day per week – Tuesday, subject to change due to holidays and weather conditions, etc.) Client pick-up route is one day per week and will require on-site training at client site (pick-up of samples is from 3 plant sites in the Beaumont area). There may be additional sample pick-ups at additional client sites as needed; notification and coordination will be handled between the courier, lab and client. Additional training for courier route will be provided.

Qualifications

• Requirements :
  • Reliable vehicle for daily transportation routes
  • Reliable transportation (courier route is about 500-600 miles per week). No vehicle will be provided.
  • Mileage Reimbursement: Company pays for all mileage expenses for driving routes
  • Must maintain accurate driving mileage records
  • Submit an expense report for mileage every two weeks
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Maintain valid vehicle insurance on personal vehicle
  • Consistently maintain courier route schedule daily
  • Communicate route pick-up and delivery issues to the Lab Manager timely

• Skill Set :
  • Reliable
  • Punctual
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the Houston Area for driving is a plus
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and organize daily workload – get samples delivered to lab timely
  • No prior courier experience necessary, we will provide training.

Additional Information

Candidates within the commutable distance of Houston, TX are eligible to apply. This role is a part time role. 

Hourly Pay Rate: $15-17 an hour

Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business section, and geographic location
