Private Equity/Investment Banking Career Specialist

As the Private Equity/Investment Banking Career Specialist, you will play a key role in preparing students for successful internships and careers in private equity and investment banking. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will guide and support a cohort of students, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel during their internships and beyond. This position allows you to make a significant impact by shaping the future of our scholars and fostering diversity within the financial services industry.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one coaching, small group development sessions, and large group professional development to support students throughout their internship journey in private equity or investment banking.
- Oversee hybrid, virtual, and in-person experiences to help students successfully complete junior-year summer internships.
- Track scholar progress using internal rubrics, roadmaps, and data management tools; regularly report on performance and insights.
- Develop best-in-class systems for student support and cohort development, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with scholars, helping them navigate their career paths and ensuring retention through their time in the program.
- Manage feedback loops with private equity and investment banking partners to ensure student success during internships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design systems, curricula, and evaluation tools that support ongoing student development and program scalability.
- Support the strategic growth of the program to enhance systems for both student and internship success.
- Perform other duties as needed to help students thrive and achieve their career goals.
### Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly in Investment Banking or Private Equity.
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and understand how identity intersects with job performance.
- Skilled in designing feedback systems to improve job performance.
- Strong collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to align programs with stakeholder needs.
- Analytical and data-driven, with experience using data to inform decisions; strong proficiency in Excel is a plus.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally for events or meetings and attend some evening or weekend events as needed.
- A passion for working in a start-up-like environment and contributing to organizational growth.
- Strong ethics and commitment to professional integrity.
