Job Description
This position will be responsible for Assisting with the operation of the extruder for pet food production and sanitation of work areas to ensure it is ready for production.
Job Duties:

• Assist the Extruder Operator in the day-to-day operation of the plant
• Work with the Meat Room and Mill to ensure product meets specifications
• Assist with Setup of the Extruder daily
• Assist with Inspection of product to make sure it is meeting customer specifications, density, and size
• Follow instructions of Extruder operator
• Assist with set up of die plates and knives on extruder
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment to ensure product is within specifications
• Clean under and around conveyors, extruder, and other plant machinery
• Clean and setup pumps
• Assist with Calibration of pumps

Job Requirements:

• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to obtain Fork/Truck license
• Follow GMP’s and safety protocols
• Great trouble-shooting skills
• Computer literate
• Team effort and communication
• Willing and able to stand for long periods of time
• Attention to detail and desire to clean is a must
• Mechanically inclined

Hours:

• Monday - Friday
• 2nd shift: 2pm - 10:30 pm
• 3rd Shift 10pm - 6:30am

Compensation: $19.50 - $21 per hour
