QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

A Food or Beverage Quality Manager ensures that the quality of the food and beverage manufacturing output is consistent and meets government and industry standards as well as customer expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Develops meaningful safety measures for plant scorecard to drive performance improvements
* Communicates and translates organizational quality and safety objectives and practices into actionable solutions
* Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Sanitation Manager to ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds
* Conduct pre-shipment reviews, CCPs, validation studies, and report deficiencies for GMPs, HACCP, and SSOPs

QUALIFICATIONS

Computer skills, analytical, equipment and food-processing equipment.
Knowledge of quality control processes related to the food-processing industry.
interfaces and influences cross-functional teams including remote members to deliver results within demanding timelines
Stays up to date on industry trends and builds expertise in food product regulations, product liability, food safety best practices, public health regulations and donation "industry" best practices
Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited College or University preferred
Five plus years of quality control experience; in a food-manufacturing environment
HACCP Certified (preferred)
SQF Certified (preferred)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
