Job Summary & Responsibilities: GBM Private Strats collaborate with capital markets professionals and investment bankers to create analytics and structured solutions for our clients. We perform a number of functions, to include: (a) helping corporations raise funds and optimize their capital structures across a range of products (b) assessing various M&A alternatives (c) designing derivatives to help entities meet tactical and strategic risk-management objectives; (d) pricing and risk-managing the funding commitments made by the firm to corporate clients; (e) analyzing internal and external datasets to advance the business of the firm and its clients; (f)expanding the development of the firm's proprietary codebase from which all the above analytics are deployed.
Principle Responsibilities: We are looking to hire a Vice President in New York for the Corporate Derivatives Analytics Team. This strat will work closely with the Corporate Derivatives marketing desk, which provides derivative risk management solutions to the firm's corporate clients. This strat will develop and use models and tools to better provide structuring, pricing, and analytics for corporate derivate portfolios. They will use statistical data analysis techniques to identify risk management opportunities for clients and to enhance the team's marketing effort. They will work with a wide array of risk management products, including interest rate, currency, commodity, and credit derivatives, providing solutions to clients across all industries.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline with a high GPA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Superior quantitative / analytic reasoning and problem-solving abilities
- Strong computer programming skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including high level of fluency in English
- Strong interpersonal skills; Desire and ability to play on a team
- Strong interest in finance
- Results-oriented work ethic based upon responsibility, enthusiasm, and pride in work

Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
