Job Description:

• We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Tele Float position to support our team during the high-volume respiratory season and assist with our Epic transition. This role involves floating to various units, primarily working with Med/Surg patients who are holding in the Emergency Department (ED).

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Med/Surg and Telemetry settings.
• Float to various units as needed, primarily to support patients holding in the ED.
• Collaborate with the Care Coordination Center to determine daily assignments based on patient needs.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.

Requirements:

Licensure:

• Valid New York RN license.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of acute hospital nursing experience; prior travel nursing experience preferred.

Certifications:

• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Vaccination :

• COVID-19 vaccine is not required per facility guidelines; flu vaccine requirements will be confirmed.
