Job Description

Salary Range: $86,000 to $100,000 per year DOE

Benefit Eligible: Yes, includes health insurance (medical, dental, vision) along with paid time off and a 401k with company match

Location: Remote (WFH) with location restrictions within the United States. For tax and compliance purposes, this role is open only to candidates that will work or reside in the following states: AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, TX, VA, WA, WI, WY.

Wild Pastures is on a mission to transform the meat industry. We deliver 100% grass fed, pasture-raised, environmentally-regenerative beef, chicken and pork and sustainably caught, wild seafood directly to our customers’ doors. We have incredibly high standards for our meat – all being raised in the USA by small-scale family farmers on lush pastures free from any and all chemicals.

 

The Opportunity

The Senior Procurement Analyst is responsible for the development and execution of procurement strategies to ensure all quality measures, pricing controls, inventory management, and vendor relationships align with our core values and support the long-term success of our business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in ingredient and raw material procurement with excellent sourcing and analytical skills.

 

Essential Functions

  1. Manage procurement for direct materials, indirects, and packaging.
  2. Negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers.
  3. Forecast raw materials requirements and create cost reports.
  4. Evaluate and monitor lead times, storage requirements, and shelf life of materials.
  5. Identify cost-saving opportunities through the review of vendor price brackets, freight differentials, and alternative supplier qualifications.
  6. Analyze purchasing trends to identify supply chain issues or new demand patterns.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with vendors.
  8. Work cross functionally with quality and product development teams to ensure all compliance and quality measures are met.
  9. Responsible for documenting records and procedures.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in business, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  2. Minimum 4-6 years of experience in supply chain and purchasing.
  3. Required 2+ years of purchasing experience within the CPG industry specifically.
  4. Working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems.
 

Preferred Education & Experience

  1. Experience with negotiations and a fluent understanding of general CPG supply chain concepts and processes
 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies that weigh up to 20 pounds, and to bend and stand as necessary.  

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position during regular business hours in the employee’s time zone. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This position does not require travel.
