Overview:

The Product & Agile Enablement team’s mission is to enable product teams to focus on their customers, surrounding them with lean, easy, friction free ways to align strategies, leverage data to make better decisions, and streamline ways of working. This team is primarily focused on three areas of responsibility: 1) Product Team enablement which includes product team formation, training, launch and agile/product coaching to aid in continuous improvement. 2) Product/Agile tooling, metrics, and dashboards; setting lean standards, configurations, and integrations to unlock the potential for automated transparency. 3) Leading and managing product governance which includes executive strategy alignment routines such as quarterly business reviews, product showcases and strategic alignment planning events.

 

The Product Agile Coach plays a critical role in training, coaching and continuously improving product teams value flow, discovery and delivery practices. Nurturing a customer-centric operating model that places customers at the forefront and unites cross-functional teams to deliver maximum customer value. The Product Agile Coach will unlock the potential for product teams to align organization goals processes and product development, nurturing efficiency, innovation and customer focused outcomes. Fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement. The Product Agile Coach is the means to helping teams continuously improve overall value flow, removing friction and improving processes for the teams.

 

This role requires an accomplished professional with a track record for leading and driving change ­­within technology organizations.

Responsibilities:
  • Enable multiple product teams while pulling from experience and bodies of knowledge such as product management, agile frameworks and lean practices.
  • Must be able to teach, coach, be -on to demonstrate what great looks like with product-oriented practices and techniques such as defining personas, outcome focused OKRs, product roadmaps, healthy backlogs, healthy product and agile metrics, variety of visualization techniques including story mapping, opportunity solution tree, customer journey maps, design thinking and more.
  • As a Product coach, you will leverage your extensive practical product management and agile expertise to solve real team problems, guiding leaders and teams to understand, embrace and evangelize new ways of working with a product mindset.
  • Work with product leaders and teams to ensure relentless drive for customer focused outcomes using data to gather greater insights.
  • Coach and mentor product teams to leverage appropriate principles such as product mindset, agile principles, human-centered design principles, technical engineering practices, and frameworks to deliver high-value products and capabilities.
  • Enable and inspire a collaborative and empowered culture to promote greater business agility.

  • Design and develop facilitator-led materials related to product and agile practices.
  • Through coaching soft skills, building trust, evaluating teams’ current practices and value flow; you'll recommend appropriate next steps to achieve greater business agility.
  • Develop and influence learning strategies for product managers, product owners, and other product leaders.
  • The Senior Product coach will also play an integral role in influencing product coaching strategies as well as partnering and mentoring other coaches to build a world class coaching organization.
  • Bring your real-world product management and agile experience to the enablement organization to help build a viable community of product coaches and practitioners throughout the enterprise.
  • Must be familiar with DevOps and modern engineering practices to help guide traditional or siloed functional practices towards a more modern approach than enables agility and frequent releases.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience leading and implementing enterprise tech strategy and change initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Product and Agile tooling such as Jira, Planview, Confluence, Miro, etc.
  • Must have relevant and demonstratable work experience in helping product leaders to create an environment conducive to supporting empowered product teams delivering great results .
  • Must have experience working in a product-oriented organization; this is not a project or scaled agile framework operating model environment therefore SAFe practices are not applied or relevant in this context.
  • Experience in helping product leaders and senior leaders align priorities to the overall business goals and product strategies .
  • Proven experience in building relationships with senior leaders across the organization to influence and inspire change.
Benefits:

The annual base salary range is $115,000- $150,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
