Position: Security Systems Technician

Location: Millsboro, DE

Starting Pay will be determined on what you can do from day 1, what system knowledge you have and/or certifications. - Would be happy to discuss this in more detail.

A Security Systems Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and functionality of security systems. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this position:

1. Duties and Responsibilities :

   • Installation and Testing : Install conduit, cabling supports, and pathways for both indoor and outdoor wiring systems. Terminate and test security system wiring and data cabling.
   • Mounting Hardware : Mount security panels, hardware, and devices professionally on surfaces and rack spaces.
   • Equipment Inventory : Assist the foreman by checking equipment inventory and loading equipment.
   • Network Skills : Implement local area networks, including wireless technology, across various operating systems and platforms.
   • Troubleshooting : Troubleshoot and solve network and computer issues related to security systems.
   • Mechanical Ability : Work with locks and mechanical devices.
   • Telecommunications Knowledge : Familiarity with telecommunications systems is beneficial.

2. Experience :

   • High school diploma or trade school education is preferred.
   • 1-2 years of related industry experience is advantageous.
   • Valid driver’s license required.
   • Experience implementing local area networks to include wireless technology using multi-operating systems and platforms.
   • Network and computer trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills required, including knowledge of networking, theory, principles and practices. Specific knowledge of TCP/IP and Windows Server.
   • Mechanical ability to work with locks and mechanical devices.
   • Knowledge of telecommunications systems is helpful.
