Job Description

Payette is looking for a highly motivated entry-level visualization designer to join our growing Design Visualizations Group. Beyond the creation of photorealistic renderings, this group works closely with architecture teams to study, develop, and present complex design solutions. This role is responsible for all the 3d modelling and grasshopper creation for the group. You will work closely with project teams assisting with design iterations.

 

Candidates should possess the following prerequisite qualifications for this position:

Bachelor’s degree in architecture.

Excellent 3D modeling skills with Rhino.

Ability to multi-task various projects efficiently and work well under deadlines.

Open to learn new modeling tools and techniques as needed.

Experience in Revit, Sketchup and Grasshopper a plus.

Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Create 3D models in Rhino from 2D drawings, hand sketches and design discussions with project teams and within Visualization group.

Iterate through quick design options in Rhino to evaluate with project designers.

Edit models and modify them as required by the Design Visualization team. 

 

Other position qualifications include: 

Creative eye with the ability to produce high quality renderings

Develop 3D renderings following 3D group’s standards and direction.

Strong design and graphic skills.

Excellent problem-solving ability.

Knowledge of scripting and coding a plus.

Creative eye with the ability to create advanced, high-quality renderings.

Develop 3D renderings following Visualization group’s standards and direction.

Experience with Enscape or similar real time rendering package a plus.

Experience with the latest Artificial Intelligence programs and processes a plus.

 

Candidate portfolios should ideally demonstrate:

Examples of architecture modeled in Rhino, and custom grasshopper scripts.

Examples of high-quality renderings showing composition and lighting.
