What You’ll Do
We are seeking experienced Tax Reviewers with strong backgrounds working with top 400 firms to join the Paro network. This is a remote, contract position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a diverse client base. CPA firms range from local boutique accounting firms to top 100, US-based public accounting firms.

Below is a list of potential tasks you might be assigned with a CPA Firm client, including but not limited to:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of complex tax returns prepared by clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in tax documentation, providing appropriate recommendations for correction.
  • Collaborate closely with tax preparers and other team members to gather necessary information and clarify any tax-related queries.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide accurate and timely guidance to clients.
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation of reviewed tax returns and associated information.
  • Provide exceptional client service by promptly responding to client inquiries and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and assist in streamlining tax review workflows.

What you’ll bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with top 400 accounting firms, specializing in tax review and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, with a focus on individual and corporate tax returns.
  • Proficiency in tax software and tools such as CCH ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or similar applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills to identify errors and inconsistencies in tax documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple client engagements simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, while maintaining a high level of productivity and professionalism.
  • Dedication to delivering exceptional client service and building long-term relationships.
  • At least 20 hours per week of availability
